The Perks of being a Wallflower

Dear Readers,
As you may have noticed I don’t write in here as much as I want to, but I really don’t have enough time. So I’ll write whenever I have time to write and whenever I want to. But if I don’t write much I’ll try to make’em good. So let’s see and enjoy.

The Perks of being a Wallflower is a non-fiction novel by Stephen Chbosky. It’s about Charlie who’s shy and very introvert. The last year of middle School his best friend killed himself. After that Charlie got mad and everyone avoided him because he was acting crazy. So he’s pretty nervous about starting High School. He’s a very good student and he loves books. At first he’s having a hard time making friends and Stuff, but the first time he goes to a football match he meets Sam and Patrick who are step-siblings. The first time he sees Sam he’s fascinated. They become friends very quickly and they even take him to a party after the game. From now on Charlie has friends he can count on, not looking to the fact that they are seniors and he’s only a freshmen. With them Charlie has got the opportunity to start life. He get’s drunk for the first time, starts smoking and has his first relationship with a girl he doesn’t even love. All of his life he’s been watching people living their lives, but now it’s time to see the world from the Dancefloor and not always sitting by the wall. He has good experiences and bad ones. All of the time his friends are there for him and vice versa. The best thing are the tunnels in which they drive as fast as they can and stand up in the truck. These are the moments when he feels infinite. But he has a dark and sad secret that’s eating him away because he can’t tell anybody. But he’d been avoiding those feelings as good as he could. Now it’s getting harder and harder to keep the feelings away. Now, his friends can’t help him, can’t they?! But anyway in summer they will be leaving all to other colleges and he won’t see them anymore. But he still has someone to tell everything. He writes letters to a friend of which you don’t know if he even exists. Will he be able to tell someone? What will happen? This book really made me realise that everyone is special and that we don’t have the power to choose where we come from but, we can still choose where we go from there. I think this is important because if we don’t feel good about our past we still get the chance to go where we want in the future. And that it doesn’t help to say, others have it a lot worse because it doesn’t change what we’re feeling and what we’re going trough. This is the point. And The Perks of being a Wallflower really is a good book that I recommend you to read. I tell you that this is what shows us different things and helps us in many ways. We could use it as a reflection where we look what we feel/felt when we are/were in High School for the first time. And when we were 16 about to turn 17. The Perks of being a Wallflower shows you that there are people who do have sad stories but also that you, like I said before, shouldn’t say that others have it a lot worse because it doesn’t change your feelings. This is important to know. And that if you feel very deeply sad you should talk to someone. Be aware of your feelings. Because if you aren’t it can be very unhealthy. So this book has so much happiness, sadness, love and friendship in it and it makes you think. This book is life. Read the book and think. And very important, let your thoughts go where they want to. Read and live. I hope you’re all doing well. Bye and have a nice day or night or whatever time it is where you live.

P.S. It has a movie too. And the Director and writer is Stephen Chbosky.

    • Hey Shay,
So you’ve read it. I loved the book and I loved the movie too. But the last letter in the movie is totally different from the book. I like it still though. Yep. I’m lucky that you liked my review. There are a few mistakes in writing skills sorry. But yeah. Bye
      P.S. thanks 🙂
